Different Pages

This morning I swam inside a painting

And in my frame i could feel them all staring

Then they all left, was I a shark or something?Pull the drain in my tub, take all my worries

I′m always some kind of mirror

I reflect all these fears

Of everything that's around me

Like when you worry that I stay out too late

Fine I just won′t tell you

That look you throw says we're on different pages

I won't watch it play through

It′s your birthday

Friends are in our backyard

They′re eating small talk from small paper plates

You locked my hand tighter than the quicksand

Was this your idea, if I move you'll close in

I heard somebody question

My root of intentions

Now I only care what they think

Like when you worry that I stay out too late

Fine I just won′t tell you

That look you throw says we're on different pages

I won′t watch it play through

I can't make out the lines

You only see blue, painting faded in the light

And looking blurry too

Terrified I′ll lose you trying to figure this all out

I hate it when you say I stay out too late

Fine I just won't tell you

That look you throw says we're on different pages

I won′t watch it play through
